Carmen Brown

Carmen is the head podiatrist and director of Step Up Podiatry.

Carmen graduated with a BHSc. Pod from AUT University and is registered with the NZ Podiatry Board and ACC. Carmen is also a qualified Beauty Therapist and is currently studying towards a post graduate certificate in Health Science Podiatry.

Carmen enjoys all aspects of podiatry. Her special interests include dealing with problematic ingrown toe nails, diabetic foot management and the prevention of diabetic foot complications. Carmen frequently takes on challenging cases, treating patients with both acute and chronic pain issues.
 

 

Ash Anjali Naidu

Ash graduated from AUT with a BHSc. Pod from AUT University. She is currently studying towards a post graduate certificate in Health Science Podiatry.

She is registered with the NZ Podiatry Board and ACC

Ash joined the Step Up Podiatry team in 2023. Ash enjoys all aspects of podiatry and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working in podiatry clinics and hospitals across New Zealand. Ash has specialised skills in high-risk diabetic management, myofascial dry needling, and footwear modification.

She has a passion for patient-centered care and pursue opportunities to strengthen her skills. We are excited to have Ash part of the Step Up Podiatry team!

 

Mita Sikulu

Mita graduated from AUT with a BHSc. Pod from AUT University and is registered with the NZ Podiatry Board and ACC.

Mita joined the Step Up Podiatry team in 2021.  Mita’s passion for podiatry comes from the opportunity to help people become healthy and pain-free. Mita has extensive knowledge in diabetic foot care. Having  worked in her home country of Tonga treated high and active risk diabetic patients.

 

Mita also enjoys general care podiatry and has a special interest special interest in the biomechanics and surgery.
