Ingrown toenails and appointments after surgery

Hi everyone! Just a quick note about surgery and why attending your follow-up appointments is so important. Sometimes our patients don't attend their follow up sessions after their surgery because their toes feel fantastic however during your follow up appointments we check the following things:

If there is any jagged nail that needs to be filed down

If we did a permanent procedure, we check if the nail has stopped growing

Any infections still lingering that may require antibiotics

It is very important that we check your toes afterwards to avoid any nasty suprises :)
